      The most commonly used liquid medium is water, followed by anhydrous ethanol and other organic solvents.  The common gas medium for dry process is compressed air or compressed nitrogen.  Particle size test for liquid media usually have the following requirements:

powder specification

       1, pure;

       2. No physical or chemical reaction with particles;

       3, with the particle has a good affinity (good wetting);

       4. Make the particles in proper suspension state;

       5, medium and room temperature difference as small as possible to prevent the sample pool fog.

       The requirements of dry particle size test for gas medium are pure, dry, adjustable pressure, non-toxic and odorless, and cheap.
